Open Thread is first and foremost a company whose mission is to put a pair of long thick socks on every homeless person in America. Through making designer socks, we hope to accomplish this goal. For every designer sock purchased, Open Thread will donate a pair of long thick socks to homeless shelters in New Orleans, Atlanta, New York, Los Angeles, and San Francisco. Socks are the #1 need in the homeless community, and our hope is to help bridge that gap.
Open Thread donates a long pair of thick socks to homeless shelters in the cities of New Orleans, Atlanta, New York, Los Angeles, and San Francisco. At the end of every quarter events are held in each city at local homeless shelters where the donation socks are handed out to the homeless community by the Open Thread team.

About the Founder
Austin McCann began his work with the homeless community in 2005, and never looked back. A New Orleans native, he fell in love with serving the less fortunate and fostered a relationship with the New Orleans Mission and other homeless shelters in Los Angeles and San Fransisco.
While earning his Masters in Business from Loyola University New Orleans, he was tasked with starting a business with a cause, and there Open Thread was born.
Austin's love for designer socks and his heart for the homeless community is his driving force to be a voice for the voiceless community.
